Our Beliefs - Kootenay Christian Fellowship

We believe the Bible to be the only infallible, authoritative Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit;
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit;
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father;
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ;
We believe that recreation by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation;
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human spirit, soul and body in answer to believing prayer; (Isaiah 53:3-5, 1 Peter 2:24)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit which includes: the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an experience distinct from regeneration; (Acts 8:1-17; 19:1-6) His Indwelling, by which the Christian is enabled to live a godly life; His supernatural gifting and empowering of the Christian for life, ministry and worship;
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation;
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ;
We believe in ministry to the whole person, both evangelistic and humanitarian, at home and throughout the world (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18).
